Eat on the Avenue (EOA) was a success for many this summer! This NEON-curated marketplace event was created to engage the community by providing a variety of dining options for those who live and work in North Minneapolis. Eat on the Avenue was also a platform for food businesses to grow by showcasing their menu(s) in the Minneapolis community.

Some of the vendors featured in Eat on the Avenue were clients who worked with NEON through the Northside Food Business Incubator (NFBI), a joint partnership with Appetite for Change (AFC) designed to expand economic opportunities and build wealth for Minneapolis residents, and increase the healthy food options in North Minneapolis through the

creation, growth and development of small food businesses in North Minneapolis.

Customers had an opportunity to dine from a variety of food options as:

ree

• Mexican

• Barbecue

• Italian

• Vegan

• Jamaican

• Global comfort food

Our event generated such a buzz that it was featured on local news outlet's like WCCO News, Spokesman-Recorder and MPR News to name a few. During the final week of Eat on the Avenue, the NFBI participants served up their best cuisine from a food truck provided by Loaves and Fishes. The food truck was a great learning opportunity for NFBI participants to prepare for future scalability. We look forward to an even better experience next year!

This year's participants included:

Wha' Jamaican

Root to Rise Kitchen

Top Dog

Chicks on Wheels

Harold's Chicken

Sammy's Avenue Eatery

Wendy's House of Soul

This was a very engaging and well-structured overview of the event. The way you highlighted the atmosphere, food variety, and community impact made it easy to visualize the experience. It reminded me https://searenovation.com/ of a similar local feature I came across while reading searenovation, which also emphasized how food brings neighborhoods together. Thank you for sharing such a vibrant community story.

This was a well-written and engaging overview of the event, and the way you highlighted the community impact made it especially meaningful. The details around local participation were very clear and easy to follow. In the middle of reading, it reminded me of a thoughtful recap I once saw on a small review blog like https://www.whirlwell.net/ which also focused on how food brings neighborhoods together. Great work capturing the spirit of the event.

Beautifully presented — the program feels thoughtfully curated, and your explanation adds helpful context. It’s clear a lot of care went into this. I came across a similar arts-focused overview on https://thegamecaps.com/ not long ago, which made this especially enjoyable to read.

Such a fun and engaging post. The mix of Broadway energy with a seasonal moment like Black Friday made for an entertaining read. It reminded me of a culture-focused article I came across on https://www.aerospectny.com/ that looked at how art and commerce intersect. Thanks for sharing this lively update.

This post did a great job highlighting the energy and excitement of Broadway during a busy shopping weekend. The cultural angle https://trgsupply.com/ was especially engaging. It brought to mind a community-focused arts discussion I saw on that explored similar intersections of culture and commerce. Thanks for sharing this perspective.
